About me
Hello - welcome to my website. I’m Eleanor Rusbridge, I’m a Psychotherapist in training at the Karuna Institute, Bristol and a trainee member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).
My training is in Core Process Psychotherapy - a mindfulness based psychotherapy which draws on western psychodynamic understanding of individual development and Buddhist understandings of the mind. This broad-base allows me to adapt my approach to each individual. As a trainee, I am able to sessions at a lower cost.
For me, psychotherapy is about working with the mind, body and spirit, (whatever this might mean to you). I work on the understanding that we are all affected - consciously and unconsciously - by a myriad of things including our personal histories, relationships, but also culture, community and the wider world around us.
Psychotherapy has been hugely beneficial to me personally, at difficult times and at times of change. Before training as a psychotherapist I worked as a singer and conductor of choirs. Creativity and the imagination are very important to my work.
How I work
A trusting relationship between therapist and client is key for therapy to be effective. I offer a free 30 minute, no-obligation, initial meeting, which gives you the chance to ask any questions and to get a sense of who I am and how I work.
I offer sessions on a regular, weekly basis and I practice in Cotham Hill, Bristol and online.
I charge £40 for each full-hour session.
